The Taranaki CDEM invites public submissions on its Proposed Civil Defence Emergency Management Group Plan for Taranaki 2018-2023
This strategic document is designed to:
- Define and strengthen relationships between the agencies involved in Civil Defence Emergency Management (CDEM) in Taranaki.
- Set out the anticipated responsibilities and functions of all parties contributing to community security and resilience.
- Encourage cooperative planning and action between Taranaki’s Civil Defence agencies and the community.
- Demonstrate commitment to deliver a more effective service.
The Proposed Plan also provides information on the hazards and risks in Taranaki and documents the way the agencies involved in CDEM cooperate. Operationally, this plan is implemented through annual work plans, and through other procedures and frameworks.
Have your say on the Proposed Plan and, if you want to, you can also come along and explain your views in person at a hearing in March 2018.
All submissions, written and verbal, will be consdered carefully before final decisions are made.
